About me

My name is David Strain, I am married to my wonderful wife Sheena, who blogs here, and am the father of two young sons. I am the senior pastor of Main Street Presbyterian Church in Columbus, Mississippi, USA, though I hail from Glasgow, Scotland originally.

My passions include expository preaching, reformed worship, effective mission, sharing our home with visitors, good Indian food, and oak matured, organic, dry to medium sweet, hard cider. There have been Sabbath days when all of the above have come together in a little glimpse of heaven.

Are you the David Strain I met when you were a candidate for the Church of Scotland ministry and you were quite open about your unwillingness to ordain women to the eldership? And your wife was a nurse, and she visited us in Caldercruix when we were adopting our two? If so I’ll send you photos of the kids now.

    David,

I appreciate your blog; I found it from the interview with D. G. Hart. Then I was looking around and realized you are less than three hours from me. I live right outside of Memphis, TN. I didn’t see another way to contact you, but when you get time drop me an email.

    David,

Any way that you can edit the D.G. Hart interview posts so that each post has a link to the next sequence of interviews? Maybe I’m slow but I’m having a hard time finding all the interviews. I finally found them through the search bar at the bottom but even then you have to page back multiple times to get to the page with the link to the next interview. Just an idea to make it more accessible to those interested.
